OPEN CALL

Cultural Corner Community Mosaic

DEADLINE 5pm Friday 1st November 2024

1 x £1000 commission

Fegg Hayes Futures and B arts want to commission an artist to work with community members in Fegg Hayes in Stoke-On-Trent to create a mosaic artwork celebrating the culture and community of the neighbourhood. The mosaic will be installed as a back board for a community planter which will be positioned outside our centre (The Hub@ST6, Stoke-On-Trent, ST6 6QR).  The mosaic will be part of a wider art trail currently being designed around this ‘corner’ of the neighbourhood, featuring decorative planters and street art.

New Producers is an expenses paid programme where people 18+ can come and learn about how to put on gigs.*

*by Gigs we mean anything and everything - lantern parades, exhibitions, art interventions, theatre shows, … this is a non exhaustive list.

Each cohort runs for roughly 6 weeks, and there are very limited spaces.

So if you are interested in having a go at learning what goes into putting on a gig get in touch with Shiv at. Siobhan.mcaleer@b-arts.org.uk

Climate Cafe - Contributor Call Out

An open call for artists, creatives or community members who are interested in expanding their practice to think, talk about and explore the themes of climate justice in their work.

This open call out is to run an activity to go alongside our Climate Cafe offer, this might include modelling a clothes/book/toy swap, a repair cafe or an upcycle cafe or running a participatory creative workshop or hosting a Q and A around film or something else entirely!

We are able to provide £150 per workshop, which is available for the artist/community member to cover the costs of delivering the activity on one Saturday (Either the first Saturday of May, June, July, August). We will be able to provide materials and equipment on top of this fee and provide support.

For more information, and to complete an expression of interest,
