Stoke-on-Trent’s best kept secret - The Lost Post Office
The Lost Post Office is a magical mid-winter experience using theatre, puppets, play, music, story-telling and surprises. It is a family theatre show suitable for children of all ages, families and the young at heart.
Audiences are invited to take a tour of the fabled Lost Post Office- a mysterious place that only appears once a year at 72 Hartshill Road, B arts base on the borders of Stoke and Hartshill.
The Lost Post Office - where all the items that are impossible to send in the post are kept, waiting to be sorted, stamped and even delivered.
Kath, Lost Post Office Tour Leader, says, “The Lost Post Office is open for tours as usual this year. But, there seems to be quite a lot of water. The Lost Post Office might be flooding. We won’t let that stop us- if everyone wears wellies and raincoats and brollies- I’m sure we’ll be fine.”
It also looks like the workers aren’t meeting their targets and The Lost Post Office is under threat of being sold. And where is The Post Master General? It seems that they’re the only one who can help. This year to move forward we’re going to have to take the public back. We’ll have to uncover what’s going on by finding The Lost, Lost Post Office.
Susan Clarke Artistic Director of B arts says, “The Lost Post Office is 1 hour of seasonal family fun where you can let your imagination run wild. We encourage mixed groups to come along and because it’s a relaxed and interactive performance where we walk from scene to scene there’s always something new to join in with just around the corner.”
The audiences for The Lost Post Office in 2021 said,
“Just wanted to say a big thank you for the stunning performance you and your colleagues produced this evening.”
“It really stands out with people- their skills to keep the audience's attention, the atmosphere of humour, simplicity and kindness. You are all true stars!”
“Thank you for a magical evening- we really believe we were in space.”
